Effective Date: January 1, 2025 | Last Updated: February 2026
Welcome to Moovalot. By creating an account, downloading the Moovalot app, or renting a trailer, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Moovalot, LLC ("Moovalot," "we," "our," or "us").
Important: These Terms include a limitation of liability and a binding arbitration clause. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
To use the Moovalot Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Have a vehicle capable of towing a trailer (minimum 2-inch ball hitch required)
- Have valid auto insurance that covers towing activity
- Complete Moovalot's identity and eligibility verification process
We reserve the right to deny service to any user who does not meet these requirements or who has a history of misuse.
2. Account Registration
You must create an account to rent a trailer. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@moovalot.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Towing & Hitch Requirements
All Moovalot trailers require a standard 2-inch ball coupler. You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped to tow before renting. Minimum requirements:
- 2-inch ball hitch properly installed on your vehicle
- Safety chains rated for at least 3,500 lbs
- Working trailer wiring harness (7-pin or 4-pin flat)
- Vehicle tow rating must meet or exceed the trailer's loaded weight
Moovalot is not responsible for damage to your vehicle or the trailer resulting from use of improper or insufficient towing equipment.
4. Insurance Requirements
You must have valid auto insurance in effect for the duration of your rental. Your insurance policy must cover towing and the operation of a trailer. By renting, you represent that your insurance policy is current and provides adequate coverage.
Moovalot maintains its own insurance on the trailer equipment. However, you may be held responsible for damage caused by your negligence, misuse, or failure to comply with these Terms. You are encouraged to contact your insurance provider before your first rental to confirm your coverage extends to trailer towing.
5. Care & Cleaning of Equipment
You agree to treat all Moovalot equipment with reasonable care. Trailers must be returned:
- Clean and free of debris, dirt, and materials loaded during your rental
- In the same working condition as when you received it
- To the designated return location with all components intact
A cleaning fee of up to $75 may be charged if the trailer is returned in an unclean condition. You will be charged for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
6. Storing & Securing the Equipment
While in your possession, you are responsible for the trailer's security. The trailer must be:
- Secured to your vehicle or in a safe location at all times
- Protected from reasonably expected weather and environmental hazards
- Stored in a manner that prevents unauthorized use or movement
- Never left unattended in a manner that creates a safety hazard
7. Tires & Road Conditions
Before beginning your rental, inspect all tires for proper inflation and condition. You agree to:
- Inspect tires prior to each rental for roadworthiness
- Be aware of road and jobsite conditions that could cause tire damage
- Not operate the trailer over terrain for which it is not intended
Damage to tires caused by road debris, jobsite conditions, curbing, or off-road use is the responsibility of the renter. Moovalot will assess and bill for tire damage caused by renter negligence.
8. Equipment Malfunctions
If you discover any malfunction, damage, or safety issue with the trailer during your rental, you must immediately:
- Stop using the trailer
- Contact Moovalot support at support@moovalot.com
- Do not attempt to repair the equipment yourself
Continuing to operate equipment with a known malfunction may result in additional damage, safety hazards, and additional charges. Moovalot will work to resolve equipment issues promptly.
9. Accidents, Collisions & Theft
In the event of any collision, accident, or theft involving the trailer, you must:
- Ensure the safety of all persons involved
- Report the incident to local law enforcement within 1 hour of occurrence or discovery
- Obtain a police report number
- Notify Moovalot immediately at support@moovalot.com
- Do not admit fault or make any statements on behalf of Moovalot
Failure to report an incident may result in additional liability and suspension of your account.
10. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Moovalot trailers for:

In no event shall Moovalot's total liability to you for all claims exceed the total amount you paid to Moovalot in the 30 days preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Moovalot, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
